Paphos is quickly becoming a city of culture and the cultural centre Technopolis 20 has much to do with that.
The centre offers variety, quality and a laid back atmosphere in which the month of July enjoys its last two weeks in style.
As of Friday this week , the centre will host its first Iconography exhibition by Marina Cushnirenko at 8pm.
The exhibition is taking place with the support of the Honorary Consulate of the Russian Federation in Paphos and the blessing of Paphos Metropolis and it will be opened by The Honorary Consul of the Russian Federation in Paphos, Dr George Prodromou.
According to the artist “visitors will have the opportunity to see a different art of iconography, a personal technique that I have developed with no training”.
Iconogaphy is not the only thing on offer on Friday, a reception with wine, champagne and classical music will follow.
The exhibition will remain open until July 31.

The opening of the exhibition may leave you with a bit of an appetite for more music. If this is the case then you can return to Technopolis 20 on Saturday when the band Rumba Attack will perform.
So get ready to enjoy the sounds of flamenco performed in a rumba style, blended with origins from world music, with some blues and jazz mixed in.
The three man band – Constantinos Lyras and Memnon Arestis on guitar, and Savvas Thoma on cajon – have made musical waves lately, especially at the closing event for the Rialto World Music Festival in Limassol on Monday.
The trio performs their own original instrumental material in a distinctive Spanish Flamenco-Rumba style. They also perform a selection of covers, as well as vocal adaptations of old Greek songs.
They are soon to release their first full-length studio album of original songs.
But, and there always is a but in such situations of cultural tastes, if you don’t feel like one or the other event, the centre continues to welcome people into its garden on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10am-1pm and 6pm until 12am, on Friday from 10am until 1pm and on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 6pm until 12am.
The garden offers its very own outside party where you can enjoy live music on Wednesdays, screenings of films on Thursdays and that long, cold, glass of frappé.
