If you’ve tried all the typical meze restaurants in Paphos and you’ve devoured just about as much fish as you can possibly handle, read on to find out about some of My Cyprus Insider’s favourite places offering something a little different!
Here are 5 great places to enjoy in Paphos this summer

1. The Organic Haven
7 St Georges
It’s traditional, it’s organic, it’s local and it’s really good! This tavern is run by a dedicated family who are really passionate about food and are big on serving seasonal produce that’s bought fresh every day. Sit back to enjoy an assortment of different dishes that vary according to the time of year, topped off by friendly service and a real homely atmosphere.

2. The Hidden Gem
Oniro by the Sea
Fancy dining by spectacular sea caves? This lovely relaxing cocktail bar/restaurant boasts wonderful sea views, complete with a shipwreck in sight. But don’t visit just yet, this one is only open between April and October. Head there for dreamy sunsets as you tuck into specials like Lamb Arouk and lovely salads with a menu that changes each year. And if you don’t fancy a full on meal, it’s worth popping by for a scrumptious sundowner that you won’t forget.

3. The Stylish Rendezvous
Elea Restaurant
Fancy a bite to eat in a rather stunning golf resort? Then make a beeline for the Elea Restaurant on the green grounds of the Elea Estate (not far from Paphos airport). You can expect a stylish dining experience with fine international fare and some traditional dishes in the mix. In a gist, it’s all about excellent food, fine wine (with some great local varieties on offer), top service and a lovely atmosphere. Boasting a beautifully designed interior, the al fresco experience is also rather fabulous.

4. The One With the View
Muse Café Kitchen Bar
This place has a nice all day menu, but its main wow factor is its vantage point, perched on the edge of a cliff that commands tremendous views of the surrounding area. This is hands down on one of the very best places to watch the sunset in Paphos; head there at dusk with your lover for a romantic tete-a-tete to remember. As for the food, you can expect a variety of dishes served all day: from salads and burgers, to pastas, chicken, salmon and steak. Those with a sweet tooth can wash it all down with a variety of waffles and crepes.

5. The Italian Way
Pizzeria Italiana La Sardegna Da Gino
Tooted as serving the best oven baked pizza outside Italy, this rather casual and unassuming joint is really top notch. And while it might not quite be the best outside Italy, it definitely has to be one of the very best pizzas that you’ll find in Cyprus, filled with deliciously fresh ingredients and baked to perfection in their wood fire oven.

  1. Thanks for sharing with us your delicious memories! I totally agree with you that Cyprus is capable of pleasing all palates with its wide variety of dishes. You may read more here about the best Cypriot food you definitely shouldn't miss. From the popular halloumi cheese, to other traditional dishes such as moussaka or meze. The last one is my favorite, by the way :)
